How Far is Heathrow Airport from Tufnell Park Tube station, North London?
How far is the distance and how long does it take by taxi?
Cheers
Heathrow is on the other side of the city from Tufnell Park. It can take up to an hour by taxi, maybe longer, depending on how heavy the traffic is.
You can take the Underground to Heathrow. Take the Northern Line from Tufnell Park tube station and then transfer to the Piccadilly Line at Leicester Square (via Charing Cross) or Kings Cross/St. Pancras (via Bank). The Piccadilly Line will take you direct to Heathrow.
Does anyone know the nearest free parking to Heathrow Terminal 4?
No where dodgy, even if it means a good walk i don’t mind, or maybe near tube station which will mean getting short tube journey.
Free? No I don’t. But cheaper than the airport car parks are the off-airport carparks run by companies such as FHR and others too who then have a free shuttle bus to the airport.
how to reach pembury hotel in finsbury park from Gatwick airport by train/tube?
Easiest way to Finsbury Park from Gatwick Airport is to catch a First Capital Connect service from Gatwick Airport station to St. Pancras International. From there, walk across to Kings Cross station and catch one of the many local services which are first stop Finsbury Park. The hotel website says it is two minutes walk from the station. Alternatively, catch a train from the Airport to Victoria, and then catch the Victoria Line (light blue line) in the direction ‘Walthamstow’ to Seven Sisters tube station (which is linked to Finsbury Park station). If you are arriving at a weekend, that would be the preferred route as FCC services are not crossing London, and hence those from the south do not serve St. P. International at those times, due to large scale upgrade work on the line in Central London, requiring weekend closure
How do I get from Gatwick to Hyde Park (Lancaster Gate tube station)?
thanks
The first leg of your journey is very straightforward: as most others have suggested, take the Gatwick Express train — that takes you straight from the airport to Victoria station in 30 mins.
When you buy your Gatwick Express ticket, get a combined London Transport one-day ticket, valid for zone 1 buses and tubes (or a visitor’s Oystercard if you’ll be using public transport at other times during your stay). You can see the options for visitors’ ticket options here: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/1067.aspx
To make the rest of your journey as easy as the first part, hop on the number 148 bus from Victoria Street, immediately facing the station as you come out of the main entrance. You’ll need a bus going towards Shepherd’s Bush.
The 148 will take you direct to Lancaster Gate station. Makes life easier — no changes, no managing escalators with luggage, plus you get to see a bit of London as you go by. The bus journey’s about 20 minutes.
