PostHeaderIcon I dont know where to park at Gatwick!!!?

Help me! Lol.
My mum is going to gatwick on Sunday and she doesn’t know where she can park near it? Any answers.
Also is there a local taxi number that you could give me for gatwick?
Help meee please. =)
I dont want to be parking at Gatwick tho. I want to park near it.

There are two types of parking at Gatwick: Long Term and Short Term.

When you arrive at Gatwick there are clear signs for the long term car park. However if you’re looking to save money you can shop around. The Simply Parking site below shops around for you and states the best price. All the out of airport long term sites have buses into the North & South Terminal. However prepare to add at least 30 minutes to your journey so you don’t miss the really long queues at check in.

Short Term? For either North or South Terminal follow the signs first to the terminal then to the short term car park. Only use this if you’re meeting someone or seeing them off. The costs are very high over a very short time period.

Dropping Off, you can literally set someone down, but just don’t think about staying there any longer than it takes to take the bags out of the car. You will be moved along very quickly, or worse given a ticket.

Bon Voyage!

PostHeaderIcon What is the least expensive way to get from Heathrow to the Belsize Park tube station and how would I go?

There will be 2 adults with luggage (one bag and one carry on each) arriving at noon on a Saturday. Thanks so much for your help!

The cheapest way would be to take the tube (London Underground). You can get this direct from the airport terminal and travel on the Piccadilly line to Leicester Square, then change to the Northern line to Belsize Park. The journey would probably take up to a couple of hours allowing for changes.

The cost (maximum £4.00 per person) is a lot less than other options such as Heathrow Express or taxi, but you’d have to carry your luggage around, possibly up some stairs or escalators, and on a Saturday the tube is likely to be pretty crowded.

But it’s definitely the cheapest way and I’ve taken luggage on the tube in this way before, I’d rather save the money to enjoy myself at my destination!

PostHeaderIcon Gatwick airport valet parking Meet & Greet?

Hi guys, I’m going on holiday in September and it was recommended that I use a meet and greet service at the airport instead of getting a taxi as its supposed to be cheaper. I have looked online for a decent price and I think I have found one but I was just wondering if anyone has used them.

The company I found is called Gatwick airport valet parking and the website is http://www.easyparkingsite.co.uk/. All the reviews on the site are good, but I never trust those because for all I know the companies owner could have written them all. Im a bit worried because I know that there are some of these companies that actually use your car while you’re away and do things like get parking/speeding tickets. Has anyone got any experience with these services or this company?

I’ve looked at the site and I would be dubious..there’ve been lots of local press about cars left in industrial estates with keys in wheel arches and cars parked in brighton or whatever I would go for one of the reputable ones. meteor or NCP..even NCP have a habit of crashing cars though their staff are mainly teenagers. if I were you park in the long term parking and know that your car is secure.

PostHeaderIcon How much will it cost to take a taxi from Heathrow Airport to Hyde Park in London?

We’re traveling there soon and are trying to decide if it’s cheaper to take a taxi or the Heathrow Express for four people. Thank you.

Why not just take the London Underground - The Piccadilly line runs from all terminals at Heathrow direct to Hyde Park - by far the cheapest and quickest way to do that journey. The trains are designed for people with luggage so that’s no problem.
