PostHeaderIcon how much would it cost to park a car at gatwick for two weeks south terminal please?

If you need to know things like parking places and prices at airports you only need to google the name of the airport. Each airport has a website with most information on it.

Long stay parking with a bus transfer will cost about £71 for the two weeks.

Valet parking (very useful) will cost about £87.

Take a look at the second link below.

Hope this helps

PostHeaderIcon How long does it take to travel between the south and north terminal at Gatwick?

We are travelling with Easy Jet from the North terminal and returning with Thomas Cook to the South terminal. As our flight home is early hours we thought it would be easier to park at south terminal and travel across to North. How easy is this? and How long does it take? Any tips/where we get the train etc would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

we go gatwick alot and you could run and it would not take that long, however of you tell the airport they migth gove you a lift in a car/ truck around the airport.

PostHeaderIcon Why is Gatwick Short Stay Car Park so expensive?

I want to pick my boyfriend up from Gatwick on Fri/Sat morning. I put in the times (arrive at 11pm - leave at 1am) on the Gatwick Car Park Pre Booking website and it says it will cost £20 for Short Stay, but only £8.70 for Long.

I dont want to stay in the Long as its further from the airport but i cant believe Short stay would be £10 an hour? Does anyone know what the rate is if you just go in there on the evening rather than pre-book?

Why do you want to be there for two hours? If you know the flight number, you can find the expected arrival time, before you start your journey, by going to the Gatwick Airport website & clicking on to Flight arrivals. This is something I do quite often, and I time it so that I arrive about 45 minutes after landing. By pre-arrangement with whoever I’m meeting, I pick them up from the short term car park and the fee, providing I’m no longer than 15 minutes, is £1.00p.
At South terminal the car park to pick up from is the short stay park 3 (orange). When meeting someone from North terminal, at an early hour of the morning recently, I actually picked them up from where I dropped them off at departures. There was no one around telling me to move on, so I avoided a parking fee altogether.
Presumably both you and your boyfriend will have mobile phones, so you should be able to arrange it quite easily, so that it costs you no more than a £1.00p.

PostHeaderIcon I dont know where to park at Gatwick!!!?

Help me! Lol.
My mum is going to gatwick on Sunday and she doesn’t know where she can park near it? Any answers.
Also is there a local taxi number that you could give me for gatwick?
Help meee please. =)
I dont want to be parking at Gatwick tho. I want to park near it.

There are two types of parking at Gatwick: Long Term and Short Term.

When you arrive at Gatwick there are clear signs for the long term car park. However if you’re looking to save money you can shop around. The Simply Parking site below shops around for you and states the best price. All the out of airport long term sites have buses into the North & South Terminal. However prepare to add at least 30 minutes to your journey so you don’t miss the really long queues at check in.

Short Term? For either North or South Terminal follow the signs first to the terminal then to the short term car park. Only use this if you’re meeting someone or seeing them off. The costs are very high over a very short time period.

Dropping Off, you can literally set someone down, but just don’t think about staying there any longer than it takes to take the bags out of the car. You will be moved along very quickly, or worse given a ticket.

Bon Voyage!

PostHeaderIcon Flying from Gatwick next Sunday. Where can I park my car nearby?

I don’t want to pay the extortionate car parking fees. Also what’s the number of a reliable 24 hour taxi firm nearby?

I do it fairly regularly, and you would be surprised to hear that the car parks are only a little on the expensive side, when you book with them direct. However, by using a site such as "holiday extras", you can reduce the price quite considerably. 8 days from next Sunday, will cost you from £38.50, which for the satisfaction of knowing your car is in a secure site is worth paying. I wouldn’t consider leaving the car anywhere else. The car park that I favour is Courtlands, which is so convenient to South terminal, and they are nice people to deal with. You will be transported to and from the terminal, a distance of about 400 yards, by courtesy coach, which runs around every 20 minutes.
Check it out and, whatever you decide, have a good trip.
