PostHeaderIcon I dont know where to park at Gatwick!!!?

Help me! Lol.
My mum is going to gatwick on Sunday and she doesn’t know where she can park near it? Any answers.
Also is there a local taxi number that you could give me for gatwick?
Help meee please. =)
I dont want to be parking at Gatwick tho. I want to park near it.

There are two types of parking at Gatwick: Long Term and Short Term.

When you arrive at Gatwick there are clear signs for the long term car park. However if you’re looking to save money you can shop around. The Simply Parking site below shops around for you and states the best price. All the out of airport long term sites have buses into the North & South Terminal. However prepare to add at least 30 minutes to your journey so you don’t miss the really long queues at check in.

Short Term? For either North or South Terminal follow the signs first to the terminal then to the short term car park. Only use this if you’re meeting someone or seeing them off. The costs are very high over a very short time period.

Dropping Off, you can literally set someone down, but just don’t think about staying there any longer than it takes to take the bags out of the car. You will be moved along very quickly, or worse given a ticket.

Bon Voyage!

PostHeaderIcon can i just park my car at gatwick north terminal?

or do I have to book?
you can book for short term parking and its all sold out! Can i just arrive and park?
i am not interested in how much cheaper it is, i am only interested in whether there is availability if I just turn up. thanks.

Parking at Gatwick is much, much cheaper if you book it in advance. We always park at one of the off-site car parks where they bus you to your terminal. Purple Parking is the one we have used for years - very good service with no problems and a reasonable price.

Have a good trip.

PostHeaderIcon hotel/parking at gatwick?

i need to check in for a flight at 0630, so i thought i would book into a hotel for the night. Someone told me that there are hotels where your parking is included in the price, we are away for 2 weeks so that could be quite expensive, does anyone know of a web site where i can get this info

Flypark - google parking/hotels gatwick - Flypark do parking and the nights stay for £111.00 - not bad considering the parking charges can be near that cost on their own - Happy holidays!!!

PostHeaderIcon Best airport parking at Gatwick?

I have read some real horror stories about some airport parking, damage cars, excess milage being clocked up.I would rather not hand my keys over but I have a early flight which means I need to check in at 5am.Have a long journey before hand,so could possibly stay over at a hotel that does parking as well.Any recommendations

I have always used ‘Parking Express’ - park your own car anytime day or night - lock the car and take your keys with you - never had a problem.

details and pre-booking available here :-

PostHeaderIcon Disabled parking at Gatwick airport?

Hi, I will be flying from Gatwick soon away for a few days. The person I am travelling with is registered disabled, ie has a blue badge. Generally they can park where ever free, but what is the situation at Gatwick airport? I have been on their website but there is no email address for general enquiries.

Thanks

you don’t always get to park for free with a Blue Badge … often in commercial car parks they provide the disabled bays in a convenient location near to the exit but the charge for parking is the same as anyone else … last week I was in Rhyl in north Wales and the local authority there have a policy of charging disabled customers exactly the same as everyone else, they just get the wider parking bays and the convenient locations

the Gatwick Airport website
http://www.gatwick-airport-guide.co.uk/disabled-facilities.html
says "For general advice and information regarding the special needs facilities at Gatwick Airport telephone +44 (0)870 0002468."
