PostHeaderIcon Liverpool fans, were you taken for a ride by your American co-owners with regard to your new stadium?

Latest reports say Liverpool is set to lose £34mil if the Americans fails to show the money (to the tune of £350mil) to build Stanley Park by September.

So, is "enabling works" really mean another corporate America BS?

PostHeaderIcon I dont know where to park at Gatwick!!!?

Help me! Lol.
My mum is going to gatwick on Sunday and she doesn’t know where she can park near it? Any answers.
Also is there a local taxi number that you could give me for gatwick?
Help meee please. =)
I dont want to be parking at Gatwick tho. I want to park near it.

There are two types of parking at Gatwick: Long Term and Short Term.

When you arrive at Gatwick there are clear signs for the long term car park. However if you’re looking to save money you can shop around. The Simply Parking site below shops around for you and states the best price. All the out of airport long term sites have buses into the North & South Terminal. However prepare to add at least 30 minutes to your journey so you don’t miss the really long queues at check in.

Short Term? For either North or South Terminal follow the signs first to the terminal then to the short term car park. Only use this if you’re meeting someone or seeing them off. The costs are very high over a very short time period.

Dropping Off, you can literally set someone down, but just don’t think about staying there any longer than it takes to take the bags out of the car. You will be moved along very quickly, or worse given a ticket.

Bon Voyage!

PostHeaderIcon What is the least expensive way to get from Heathrow to the Belsize Park tube station and how would I go?

There will be 2 adults with luggage (one bag and one carry on each) arriving at noon on a Saturday. Thanks so much for your help!

The cheapest way would be to take the tube (London Underground). You can get this direct from the airport terminal and travel on the Piccadilly line to Leicester Square, then change to the Northern line to Belsize Park. The journey would probably take up to a couple of hours allowing for changes.

The cost (maximum £4.00 per person) is a lot less than other options such as Heathrow Express or taxi, but you’d have to carry your luggage around, possibly up some stairs or escalators, and on a Saturday the tube is likely to be pretty crowded.

But it’s definitely the cheapest way and I’ve taken luggage on the tube in this way before, I’d rather save the money to enjoy myself at my destination!

PostHeaderIcon What bus can i get from Walton (County Rd) Liverpool to Sefton Park?

Is there a bus i can get straight there from County Rd or near there, or will i have to get the bus into town and get another bus? if so what number?

Thanx for your help.

Get a 60 or 61 to Aigburth and you end up about 100/200 yards away from the lake
It’s a big park about three miles circumference and an 80 will take you to the other end at Croxteth Road but you will have to get into town for that.

In recent years it has been rather neglected but they are spending some money on that and Princes Park which is quite near by.
We are very lucky in South Liverpool with the number of fairly large public parks that we have we have.

PostHeaderIcon Airport Parking - Stansted

Stansted airport has several options for airport parking; valet parking, on-airport parking, off-airport parking, short-term parking and long-term parking. People tend to think that the off-airport lots are less secure but this is not the case. The off-airport lots are guarded and as you can well imagine they are busy 24 -7. The off-airport lots are also less expensive. The downside to the off0airport lots is the distance from the airport. However the shuttle service is quite good. If you can spare the few extra minutes it takes to get from the off-airport lots to the airports you can save yourself a good deal of money.

If you can afford it the valet parking is the ultimate in convenience. Simply drive up to the curb, unload your bags and the valet takes the car and parks it a secure facility. When you return you have to call the valet company from the luggage depot and they have your car waiting for you at the curb. This convenience can be costly.

If you plan ahead, airport parking can be found that is both affordable and convenient. However the key phrase is plan ahead. This is particularly true for parking at Stansted airport. Pre-book your parking reservation at the Stansted airport parking lots before your trip so that you can avoid delays and extra unplanned expenses.
