PostHeaderIcon Anyone from uk go to Mondello park BSB?

I want to suprise my Hubby with a day trip to Mondello Park this year which is being held on Fathers day. I have looked into a lot of areas, got the car hire, airport parking, looked into the tickets but the flights are what worry me the most. Obviously going to be Ryanair, the last flight leaves Dublin 21:15, I will have to be there by 20:15 at the latest! I have found out that it takes 3 hrs at least from Mondello Park to Dublin Airport through the traffic after the racing is done. I dont know if to book or not, What are our chances of missing the last flight back to stansted? Has anyone done this trip before? Also, I would appreciate your opinions on if you think this is a good track to visit or would you choose one of the others? Thanks for your answers

Mondello Park is short and the superbikes can,t get fifthgear as the track is short and getting back to Dublin Airport isn,t easy after having been to mondello so i would asvise to take an extra day in this country and enjoy the Guinness

sorry I should have mentioned, we are going to see British Superbikes round. I was advised by personel at Mondello Park Circuit that it takes 3hrs + due to the excessive traffic leaving the track after the show.

My other alternative is taking the Airlink to Heuston and then the rail to Kildare and back again, there is only 1 train and airlink bus that connects in time for the return flight, but I dont know how reliable the bus and train services are, anyone else know? Thanks

Mondello is a great track and it certainly won’t take you 3 hours to depart the track and reach the airport, overly cautions I’d say. Plan ahead, park your car in reverse near the first exit, and move swiftly after the final race.

Will you be travelling with just hand baggage? If so Ryanair will allow you to check in up to 45 minutes before a Stanstead flight, but the desk closes strictly at 40 minutes before departure, allowing them to resell the seat standby passenger.
