PostHeaderIcon What Mobile Networks Work Best In Liverpool?

Hi there,

I’m moving over to Liverpool next month, and am a little concerned that my Orange phone won’t have any reception in that area, what are the best networks to use there? (I will be in an area called Hope Park, which I believe is in Merseyside…)

This is also in regards to PAYG internet dongles, so any information on either of these would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Check on the orange website signal checker, and then just enter the postcode, that is the most accurate way.

PostHeaderIcon Does the Hilton in Liverpool have a parking area?

Help please!!

the parking is in the underground carpark for Liverpool One - if you’re staying in the hotel you will get a special rate but ask the concierge for an exit ticket.

PostHeaderIcon What is the distance around the whole of Sefton Park Boating Lake in Liverpool?

Me and a friend have been jogging around the lake each night, we are trying to figure out exactly how much distance we are really covering.

It’s 5 acres in area.
So that’s 4280 X 5 = 21,400 sq yards.
Right, a square consisting or 21,400 sq yds would have to have sides of 214 yards by 100 yards, add all them together to get the perimeter and you have 214 + 100 + 214 + 100 = 628 yards.
I know it’s not a square, but I think the Maths works.

PostHeaderIcon After the 2-1 on aggregate, should Liverpool had parked it?

Win by all means… (I corrected it Bloos, merci)

with their defence they’d need to park 3 or 4

PostHeaderIcon Is there a park and ride in liverpool?

We are coming down for one night and will arrive in Liverpool around 9pm on Friday night (staying at the city centre Travelodge) and will leave about 6ish on Saturday evening. Is there somewhere we could park and ride (to the North of Liverpool) or could park them flag a taxi? If not, is there anywhere we can park for the whole time not too expensively?

there are loads of city centre car parks in Liverpool but overnight is not going to be that cheap in most of them. THere are also a handful of pay and display NCP ones on wasteground which might not necessarily be that secure overnight.
One or two hotels though have a £5 a day parking scheme - notably the Liner hotel next to Lime Street station and the Ibis on the Strand (waterfront) - where you’ll need to park up then get a permit from inside the hotel. - The strand one would be relatively handy for getting buses from the liverpool one bus station up to the north of the city - and either of these will have loads of black cabs in the vicinity.
