You always could drop them off - the car parks couldn’t have coped otherwise. The closest drop off lane to the terminals is closed (or was last week) but the others are open. The police move you on really quickly.

There’s no reasonably-priced car parks *near* any of the terminals, because Heathrow is a small enclosed area. However there are plenty that are some distance away, with a shuttle coach service included in the price. See here, for example:

We have used them and stayed at the Thistle for 1 night and left the car for 21 nights (bit extra charge over normal 14 night price).

Thistle is ideal because it is on the HOPPA frequent bus circuit so you hop on the bus at the hotel, it calls at a couple more hotels and then calls at each terminal.

There is a ticket machine out side the hotel door to buy the bus ticket, think it was £3 each.

Just looked on their website, quoting from £77 for 1 night plus 21 nights parking!

Just re-read you want the night at the end of the holiday instead of beginning. You may need to email a request as its’ the "wrong" way round for normal bookings.

There are several close to Piccadilly line stations nearby, or a short cab ride from the airport and they work out much cheaper than parking at the airport. Check out this listing of three local B&Bs
