Travel Agents: Hints And Tips
More and more people are booking their vacations and doing the research online. Travel agents are seeing less people walking through their doors. There are many websites that help people find the best deals and allow you to make all of your plans through their sites. I have used travel agents since my senior year trip and no matter how many websites offer unbeatable deals, I will remain loyal to travel agents.
I have taken a liking to doing my own research. It isn’t difficult to go ahead and check out the destinations that you are thinking about exploring. I have done that many times. I have even looked at rates to see if they are affordable before I approach travel agents. I certainly don’t want to spend my time, or their time, looking into trying to find a travel deal that I can afford if I already know that I cannot.
Travel agents are not only in existence to book your travel. They are there to answer any and all of your questions regarding traveling. If you are planning on international travel, they can advise you of things you need to know. You can find out what some of the laws are that might affect you. They know all of the fees for entering and exiting the countries. Not only can they give you the facts, but they make recommendations as to where you may want to travel to and what there is to see and do.
Travel agents are there to make your life easier and ensure that your vacation needs are completely taken care of. The internet cannot do that. As much as people like and trust the internet to make everything perfect, there is something more comforting about talking to an actual person. You can book all of your flights and hotels through the internet but when it comes to complaining or trying to resolve an issue, suddenly a website cannot be of assistance. Travel agents are there to assist you.
When my husband and I decided to elope to exchange vows, we called up some travel agents. One in particular, seemed to be exactly what we were looking for. She was very sweet and incredibly helpful. By the time I ended the 30 minute conversation with her, she had renewed my faith in travel agents. She had given me many choices of where we could go that we’d have wonderful weather for the month we were planning to travel. She gave us some educated guesses about pricing without even checking anything officially. I asked tons of questions and she was incredibly patient with me. She booked our vacation that same afternoon and even put us in touch with a wedding coordinator at the resort.
It turned out wonderfully, just as she promised. I’m also a fan of travel agents over the internet because if you end up booking the vacation from hell, you have no one to blame but yourself. If you used a travel agency, at least you’ll have someone to complain to.

5 Amazing Tips On Discount Travel
If you are among the people who are really passionate about traveling, have you been really thinking about enjoying it cost-effectively? Or you just prepare the money to get all the luxurious pleasure no matter how much it will be?
Well, you probably do have a lot of money, but it’s not really a bad thing if you could save more yet still have the enjoyment you’ve been dreaming of. It is true. You have the same excitement yet with spending less money that you’ve calculated before. How do you do it?
Here are 5 top tips you should take into account
1. Find out alternate routes to your destination.
Sometimes, a combination of two flights is cheaper than one flight. Or, you can also say that the direct route is not always the cheapest. For example, if you’re planning to go overseas, it will be much cheaper if you’re willing to make a domestic flight first prior to switching to an international one.
2. Reduce the food costs during your trip by shopping in local supermarkets rather than dining out.
You can buy some healthy snacks and fresh food from a market to eat during your outings. It is a far better idea instead of stopping for lunch at a touristy restaurant. However, if you still want to dine out, it’s best to do it on truly local cuisine. Besides you’ll save a lot of money, you’ll experience a more interesting cultural atmosphere and get much cheaper local food.
3. Look into renting an apartment.
That’s what you should do if you’re planning to stay long in the place you go to. Why? Because it is usually much cheaper than even the cheapest of hotels. Another advantage is that you will be able to cook in the apartment.
4. Make your trip much more affordable by being flexible.
This is probably the most important concept overall in terms of discount travel. If you can be flexible and open to new things in regards to your destinations, you have the opportunity of taking whichever is cheap. Thus, you will often save lots of money.
Here is one example: You’re going to South America, where rum will be incredibly cheap and other types of alcohol will be fairly pricey. You don’t really like rum, but in this situation, you do when you’re in the country.
5. Consider the value of staying put for a while.
Traveling doesn’t always mean the flight to your destination. You will not only have huge savings on transportation and accommodation, but also take pleasure in far more exciting and valuable occasions and experiences.
Of course it is very tempting to try and see as much as possible in a foreign country by constantly moving. But, it’s dubious that you will also get a good sense of what the country is like. If you’re willing to stay for a while, for instance by renting an apartment for a few weeks in a particular city, you can experience the culture a bit more, meet and indulge with some locals, dine in local restaurants, and of course, save more money.
So, have you decided where you want to go now? Have you checked out the flights and the prices? Hope you enjoy your traveling!

Going to work in Italy soon!?
I start work in Italy as soon as I have received my passport. Since I already have a job in Italy, and my new employer has proved to them that I do, it is going to be prioritised. I should have it in about 2 or 3 weeks, and shortly after that I will be getting on a plane and starting my new job.
However, I’m unsure about a few things.
I have to fly from London Stansted, as that is the cheapest airport where I can get to Brindisi in Italy. I will have to travel down the night before, as the flight leaves early in the morning and I can’t find any plane/bus/train that will get me there in time, not even an overnighter. Will I be allowed to sleep in the airport?
Also, I have applied for an EH1C card, but will I need travel insurance as well? I am going to be staying in Italy until the end of August, so I will be there for about 5 months. I can’t find any travel insurance that doesn’t cost a fortune. Even insurance with my bank would cost me £90, which I can’t afford as I have to save up for flights. I’m not even certain exactly how much a flight would cost me, as the prices seem to be changing daily. I can’t book a flight until I’ve received my passport. Does anyone know if flights would be cheaper to book a few days or a few weeks before travelling?
I have found a few things on the Internet about the town I am going to - Lecce - but not a lot. Can anyone give me some firsthand information? I am going to Italy to be an Au Pair, but I don’t even know simple things like where the nearest shops or parks are! I’m going to feel a bit useless having to get the parents or children to show me. I’d rather know a few things before I go.
I’ve been told that the weather has become hot and sunny recently. Do you think this will last, or am I better to bring some cold weather clothes as well?
Lastly, I’ve been told I’m not allowed to take fizzy juice or teabags on the plane with me! I am addicted to Irn Bru and Tetley tea, and I’m not sure how I’m going to be if I can’t drink either of them. Think I’ll end up being even more homesick! It was my parents that told me this, but I can’t find anything that says about it. Does anyone know?
Any other information or help at all would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance =)
i have currently been in Italy for a few months so this is what i know ! :
yes you can sleep in the airport although it wont be much fun. I used to travel to stansted using the national express bus to get there, have you checked them out ?
The EH1C card is for medical treatment in the country, travel insurance is more broad, for example it can cover stolen goods to drugs and medical bills to flying you back home in case of an emergency. Mine cost me about £50 however since you are there longer, unfortunately there is not much you can do about it.
Booking flights is usually cheaper the earlier you do it, for example a month before. It can also be cheap from 7 - 1 days before, as the company wants to fill the plane! however booking a few days before can be a risk.
Don’t worry about the town, why should you feel useless not knowing where the shops are if you have never been!? The people who know the most are the people you are going to stay with! you can look on google earth or maps, type the address in and get an idea of the area.
The weather is getting better slowly, but compared to england its summer right now! take a jacket and some jumpers for the rainy days and the odd cool night just incase, but it’s only going to get hotter and hotter, and since Lecce is in the south, expect it to get very hot!
No liquids are allowed in hand luggage on the plane, doesn’t matter what it is. They are allowed in the suitcase, however check stansted’s website, it should tell you all there.
ciao ciao
Anyone from uk go to Mondello park BSB?
I want to suprise my Hubby with a day trip to Mondello Park this year which is being held on Fathers day. I have looked into a lot of areas, got the car hire, airport parking, looked into the tickets but the flights are what worry me the most. Obviously going to be Ryanair, the last flight leaves Dublin 21:15, I will have to be there by 20:15 at the latest! I have found out that it takes 3 hrs at least from Mondello Park to Dublin Airport through the traffic after the racing is done. I dont know if to book or not, What are our chances of missing the last flight back to stansted? Has anyone done this trip before? Also, I would appreciate your opinions on if you think this is a good track to visit or would you choose one of the others? Thanks for your answers
Mondello Park is short and the superbikes can,t get fifthgear as the track is short and getting back to Dublin Airport isn,t easy after having been to mondello so i would asvise to take an extra day in this country and enjoy the Guinness
