PostHeaderIcon what is the law regarding receiving a parket ticket for parking on a gararge forecourt?

I parked in a BP garage forecourt at Gatwick Airport and notices indicated that i could park for 20 minutes free and would then recive a PCN for £150 (£75 if paid within 14 days) This ticket was issued by an outfit called Civil Enforcement Limited, whose web address of ce-services.co.uk does not seem to work. I question the right of this company to levy this exorbitant charge without any appeals procedure and I should like to be appraised of the law regarding this "offenc."

If you don’t want to pay the fee, then don’t park there! You obviously did see the notices, and parked there anyway, so what’s your complaint?

Try http://www.tfl.gov.uk for travel in London.
Or http://www.thetrainline.com for the rest of the country.

PostHeaderIcon So what happened to the "enabling works" for Stanley Park by Liverpool?

http://www.liverpooldailypost.co.uk/liverpool-news/regional-news/2008/08/30/stanley-park-lease-fear-for-liverpool-fc-64375-21636849/

Is it nothing but lip service by its American owners?

ask this question when you know what enabling work means. The enabling works are just to make sure the area is suitable

PostHeaderIcon Is there any decent 48 hrs parking sites outside London? - Other than the Airports?

Looking to spend a couple of days in London, but do not want to take my car into the city. I will be traveling up from the South and want somewhere secure to leave the car (for up to 48hrs), with good public transport links to the centre of London. I am thinking of using Gatwick Airport, but can anybody suggest an alternative?

If you want secure parking then the airport is your best bet. Purple parking (offsite) is one we use when we fly from Gatwick. They are ‘behind the wire’ and reasonably priced, especially if you book in advance. (£13.99 for 2 days) If you want to get into London, use the regular train rather than the Gatwick Express as it is much cheaper! Have a great trip!

PostHeaderIcon What is the cheapest and easiest way to go to downtown from Heathrow Airport?

I ll be in London in a few weeks and i m wondering what the cheapest and easiest way would be. I am going to Bayswater (near Hyde Park) and we ll be 3 people so i dont think the underground or the train will be the best solution.

the underground is the cheapest … £4 cash fare but cheaper if you get an Oyster card http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/faresandtickets/visitortickets/5185.aspx … the Oyster card will be useful for your time in London as well … to get from Heathrow to Bayswater take the Piccadilly line to Earls Court and change onto the District line (destination Edgware Road) to Bayswater

however the Heathrow Express train https://www.heathrowexpress.com/index.asp?SID={E391D218-7D7E-48C8-BFFB-17E95DD3F93B} comes into Paddington station which is very near Bayswater so it would be by far the quickest and easiest
