PostHeaderIcon Cheapest airport parking for Heathrow (terminal 5). Any suggestions?

I am flying from Heathrow Terminal 5 on 25th December around midday (yes, Christmas day), returning to collect my car on January 7th, around 2pm. I have looked online for parking near the airport, but the prices I am seeing are similar to the prices quoted by some hotels for parking AND a room for the night before the flight. Does anyone have any suggestions of places to try to find better prices for just parking? I’m looking for places below £70 for a 2 week period (well, a day or two short of 2 weeks really). If I can’t find anything much cheaper than that, I may as well look at having a stay at a hotel the night before the flight, but given that it’s Christmas Eve, i’m not sure how enjoyable that would be!

Purple parking are the cheapest and best,I’ve used them myself on many occasions.
They are also the closest to the terminal, since a man wearing a black cap meets you outside the actual terminal entrance….you only have to walk about 10 paces and your inside the terminal.
You can call them on 0208 813 8130 to make your reservation, but don’t leave it to the last minute as they do get heavily booked.

You can also use the overnight stay on the day you come back as well if this is an option for you. Unfortunately a stay and park does sometimes work out cheaper then just parking, mad l know - Anyway details below is what l found for you.

Try a car valet service like mgpheathrow - google "valet parking heathrow" or similar. Somebody collects your car at the airport when you arrive for your flight and has it ready for you when you return. In the meantime it is parked somewhere low cost, so it can work out cheaper and certainly more convenient than airport parking. I’ve used it for years, love it.

Given where terminal 5 is located, and the reasonably reliable bus services, you might even consider parking in a long-term car park in somewhere like Staines. See below for some ideas. I’ve never done this, but I Staines is so close that when I’ve been in transit through T5 I’ve popped into Staines for business and pleasure between flights.

Purple parking are cheaper, but Heathrow Long Stay are probably more convenient and just a few minutes away from terminal 5, at £77 they are £7-15 dearer than purple, but I estimate that even with quiet road on xmas day, you will have a good 15-20 ride in a bus (more if you are driving in the mid-morning traffic (families travelling to others for these turkey & stuffing), plus if weather conditions are poor, it could be more like 35-40 mins.

I’ve recently used Purple parking at Heathrow (and Manchester for that matter) and are more than happy with their service which is very competitively priced.

I understand they have two car parks at Heathrow, one pretty much at the airport itself and one just a few miles away which is cheaper.

The cheapest car parks with any airport you will find are also the furthest away, so if price is more important, be prepared for a lengthy transfer. If it is convenience your after park on the airport for around £77 for the dates you gave.

Strangley the cheapest option is an undercover hotel for £59. But you won’t know where your staying until you book. The comfort hotel is £69 and has a transfer time of 15 minutes.

It depends on what your after price or convenience…
