can i pick up from outside gatwick airport by car?
I am collecting family from gatwick and wondered if I can pick up outside terminal or do I have to park the car and go into arrivals?
Apparently not. This from the Gatewick website:
Private vehicles picking up passengers from the airport will be directed to use Short Stay Car Park 3 (orange).

You have to use the short stay car park. But be prepared to be shooed off by attendants if you stay for over 10 minutes
