PostHeaderIcon Can anyone recommend a cheap/safe car park near Heathrow Airport, will need to leave the car for 10 days?

Check the hotels around the area for "park & fly" deals. There’s a Holiday Inn just outside Heathrow that charges a tenner a night for up to a fortnight if you spend one night as a guest or £12.00 a night if you don’t spend a night with them. The car park is well lighted and has security patrols. Safe journey!

Believe it or not the cheapest way round this is to park on double yellow lines, take a taxi to the airport. While you are away your car will be impounded, paying the release fee is actually cheaper than paying for parking!

For car parking off site at heathrow depending on your dates they are roughly £67, for on site parking they are £93 roughly. It might be worth staying over the night before at a hotel depending on your flight times the courtyard Marriott hotel is £75 including parking on site at the hotel. A taxi transfer to the airport is included the cost of a taxi back to the hotel is approx £23.
These are bookable through a company called holiday extras or your local travel agent.

For long term parking at Heathrow, I park off-airport as the slight inconvenience is worth the reduced price. Try Purple Parking at http://www.purpleparking.co.uk. Their busses go around all the terminals pretty regularly and it’s just a short drive. Just one minor point that you might want to remove valuables from the car as a precaution as you leave the keys and they park the car for you. Failing that, you can use on-airport long term parking and can often get a discount for booking in advance. Try http://www.baa.co.uk.
