PostHeaderIcon How much will it cost to take a taxi from Heathrow Airport to Hyde Park in London?

We’re traveling there soon and are trying to decide if it’s cheaper to take a taxi or the Heathrow Express for four people. Thank you.

Why not just take the London Underground - The Piccadilly line runs from all terminals at Heathrow direct to Hyde Park - by far the cheapest and quickest way to do that journey. The trains are designed for people with luggage so that’s no problem.

The normal underground from Heathrow after 09.30 hrs will be cheaper than the Heathrow Express. A pre-booked mini-cab will be cheaper than a Taxi.

Depends if you book a mini-cab in advance for pick up - they will give you a standard rate - or just jump in . If the latter at least £50, more if heavy traffic. Take the Hex at £12 per head but maybe the tube as the Piccadilly line goes to Hyde Park Corner from Heathrow with no changes.

It would be cheapest to take the tube to Hyde Park Corner, but you will have steps to deal with when you get off. Otherwise, very simple, as we have done it a number of times to Green Park.

Nobrainer to use the tube! Faster, cheaper, and the trains have extra luggage space.

    Taxi too expensive!
Heathrow Express means you still have to take the tube or a taxi!

It will cost £128 return for 4 adults to get to Paddington on the Heathrow Express. A taxi will cost between 60 - 70 pounds to get from Heathrow to Hyde Park. You will also need to be aware that a taxi also charges when stuck in traffic so if you are travelling at rush hour it may take longer and cost more. It will take around an hour in a taxi but only 15 minutes on the train. A cheaper alternative for you all if you have no time pressure would be to take the Piccadilly Line underground from Heathrow into the centre of London - much cheaper but could take up to an hour and a half.
