Which city is greener Manchester or Liverpool?
This may sound as a weird question but i really need to know which city Manchester or Liverpool has more parks, gardens or other green spaces…
And also in which city they are generally larger?
Liverpool has the largest percentage of parkland of any city in the country.
Liverpool has:
10 City Parks
14 District Parks
46 Neighbourhood Parks
45 Playgrounds
4 Local Nature Reserves
14 of our Parks meet the Green Flag quality standard

probably Manchester

Dunno but Sheffield is the greenest city in England
Liverpool has over 2,500 acres of parks and open spaces but I’d imagine Manchester has more because it’s a bigger city

think it’s probably Liverpool actually - although Birkenhead had the first "Urban Park" in the world and was actually the model for New York’s Central Park.
Liverpool has the waterfront too which - while not exactly green - makes for much better air in the city.

Yoda is right, Liverpool has more parks as a percentage of its Environment than any other city in the UK, it also has more trees in its boundary than any other city.
Liverpool has Sefton Park as the largest park, which is undergoing a restoration at the moment, and has the Palm House. Nearby are Princes Park and (in my opinion) the best park in Liverpool, Calderstones park. Reynolds park in Woolton is a hidden gem and was voted the best park in the country a couple of years ago.

Liverpool has many parks large and small the larger ones being to the South of the city if you start at St James’s Park which is by the Anglican Cathedral (once a quarry, not for the cathedral and then a graveyard) Princes park Sefton Park Botanic Gardens, Calderstones Park Green bank Park, The Mystery, Reynolds Park,Camp Hill,
Clark’s Gardens there are others which are a bit smaller I think To the north Stanley Park is I’m not sure if Croxteth Park is in Liverpool or just outside it. Then their are all sorts of little open spaces and sports fields some for general use and some not
